The Remote Laundries project aims to improve the living conditions of people living in Northern Territory communities, and provide local employment opportunities for people in remote regions. The team build and operate public laundries in local communities, providing washing machines and dryers, clean reliable water and detergent.
Liberty joined the Remote Laundries project in 2021 as a partner to help fund the ongoing operations of their laundries.
The team has a vision to have seven laundries in total, providing a practical and effective way to help close the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians. Watch a short six minute video about the Remote Laundries project.
