Processing Services Team Leader | Malaysia

The Processing Services Team Leader, is responsible for leading a team of Processing Services Assistants (PSAs) focused on providing Underwriting and Claims operational and administrative services to Liberty Asia Pacific.

The role:

 

  • You will be involved in leading and supervising a team of 8 to 15 alongside the Team Supervisor and Manager including assisting with recruitment, developing team members and providing sound leadership to the team and creating a positive & healthy culture/environment within the team to bring out quality performance.
  • Working with the PST Senior Manager and key stakeholders in transitioning the task to PST, maintain SLA documents and establishing metrics for all the transitioned tasks to evaluate team performance i.e. TAT, accuracy, productivity, quality checks etc.
  • Training and development will be a key focus for the new Team Leader to ensure their skills and abilities are built to enable optimum performance in the role.

About you:

  • A motivating and collaborative leader with a passion for managing and leading a team.

  • Demonstrates superior communication and interpersonal skills

Processing Services Specialist, Reinsurance (RI) | Malaysia

We are looking for an experienced Processing Services Specialist- Finance RI to join our team to manage the ongoing administration of reinsurance treaties and oversee reinsurance credit control function across Asia Pacific for both treaty and facultative reinsurance. In this role you will be supporting the Liberty Reinsurance team across Asia Pacific region. The Role:

  • Preparing reinsurance bordereaux and reconciliations and ensuring the timely settlement of all RI payments and collection of recoveries.

Key responsibilities

  • Works with minimal supervision, pro-actively handles a book of specialty lines claims, throughout the entire claim life cycle.
  • Conducts investigations, recommending adequate reserves, monitoring, documenting, and settling/closing claims in an expeditious and economical manner within prescribed authority limits for the line of business.
  • Interpreting policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted.

  • Providing information to management on the existence or development of critical losses and advising relevant trends within the portfolio.
  • Working closely with other business lines in raising the Liberty profile and assisting in account retention and new business opportunities.
  • Working closely with the underwriting department to promote Liberty’s “integrated business unit approach” and ensure seamless delivery of underwriting and claims management services.
  • Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims, arranging investigation and briefing senior managers if further action is recommended.

Qualifications and Soft Skills

  • Significant previous claims management experience in the Insurance or Legal industry essential.
  • Sound knowledge of the Insurance Contracts Act and demonstrated ability to understand and apply legal principles to the management of claims.
  • Excellent working knowledge of PC based systems and applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database systems for managing contacts, schedules and calendars is required.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline would be desirable. HSC (or equivalent) essential.
  • High level of attention to details and efficient time management skills.
